The official stuff
In creating this beer, Insel have combined two traditional brewing methods: wet hopping and bottle conditioning. The wet hops provide the juicy aroma of freshly harvested hop cones with elegant notes of herbs and fine floral nuances. Skippers Wet Hopped is a traditional Pilsner beer with the sophisticated original hop flavour – unfiltered, refreshing, peppery and well balanced. Before lagering, fresh wet hop‐cones are added again to give the beer even more natural hop aroma and flavour. Vacuum distillation at less than 35°C maintains hop aroma and flavour. The bottle conditioning keeps the hop aroma fresh for a long time. Skippers Wet Hopped Pilsner is a distinctly elegant alcohol-free Pilsner from North Germany. Perfect as a thirst-quencher and aperitif.

Why it's worthy
Quite simply the best lager we have tasted.

What you'll taste
Full of zesty, bitter resin and hoppy character - a really full-flavoured lager.

The perfect pairing
Best drunk cold, in a Pilsner glass if you have one (or any tall, slim glass).

The pleasant surprise
Pilsners are a type of lager and known to have richer, spicier and more hoppy flavours. Try this alongside a plain lager and see the difference.
